EASTERN INSTRUMENTS

CENTRIFLOW STANDARD CFM: TYPE I METER

Centriflow is a mass flow meter for measuring bulk solid materials continuously
The CentriFlow Meter from Eastern Instruments is a Solid Particle Mass Flow Meter that is durable, accurate, maintenance-free, compact, and cost-effective. It is unique and positioned to replace weigh belts, impact meters, loss in weight meters, and static weigh scales, anywhere that accuracy, low maintenance, and zero drift are paramount. Utilizing the patented CentriFlow Technology The CentriFlow Meter offers accurate, cost-effective and simple solutions to your process measurement needs.

All of the meters in the CentriFlow family of meters can be configured as a Type I Meter. The Type I Meter is an open style meter that can be installed directly after feed devices such as Vibratory Conveyors or Belt Conveyors for accurate and dependable flow measurement of virtually any product.

CENTRIFLOW STANDARD CFM: TYPE I METER

CentriFlow Type I Meter for the accurate flow measurement of any product fed horizontally

STANDARD CENTRIFLOW CFM

The CFM Type I Standard Meter is exceedingly versatile and can be utilized for nearly any application requiring a mass flow measurement in which the product is being fed in a horizontal direction. The CFM Type I Standard Meter is perfect for large products such as tortilla chips or cereals, as well as smaller, more granular products such as pellets or grains. Type I CentriFlow Meters, can be mounted in either the Reverse or the In-Line Flow orientation. While both orientations of the meter are mechanically identical, when oriented in the In-Line orientation, the meter can be tilted backwards (up to 20 Degrees) in order to facilitate the movement of product through the meter. In addition, a transition (pictured below) is often needed in order to move product from the feed device to the meter. The transition can be supplied by Eastern Instruments or by a third party as well.

IN LINE ORIENTATION

CentriFlow Type I Meter for accurately measuring free flowing products in an in line applciation after a belt conveyor

The CentriFlow Type I Meter, just as all CentriFlow brand meters, is a mass flow meter designed for measuring bulk solids continuously within a process. The Type I Meter is perfect for measuring free-flowing and even larger particle materials such as granules, pellets or snack foods like tortilla chips. It is specifically designed to be installed directly after feed devices such as belts or vibratory conveyors. In the In Line Orientation, product will flow off of the belt, over a transition and through the CentriFlow Meter which will be tilted backwards at up to 20 degrees. The product will then, continue flowing in its original direction.

REVERSE FLOW ORIENTATION

CentriFlow Type I Meter for accurately measuring free flowing products in a Reverse Feed application after a belt conveyor

The CentriFlow Type I Meter, just as all CentriFlow brand meters, is a mass flow meter designed for measuring bulk solids continuously within a process. The Type I Meter is perfect for measuring relatively free-flowing, larger particle materials such as granules, pellets or even chips or snack foods and is specifically designed to be installed directly after feed devices such as belts or vibratory conveyors. In the Reverse Feed Orientation, product will flow off of the belt, and will be thrust into the Diverter Plate of the CentriFlow Meter. Product will then drop via gravity and be forced around the curved measurement pan. The product will continue flowing in the opposite direction that the belt is traveling in.
